School Dinners

We aim for children to enjoy their lunchtime and return to class refreshed and refuelled to continue their learning in their classes. 

Children can either eat a school meal or bring a packed lunch most children opt to have one of our amazing hot school lunches. All children in  Foundation, Year One and Year Two are entitled to a free school meal.

Children from other year groups can either access a free school meal by the pupil premium entitlement  click here or pay for a meal. Meals currently cost £2.20 per day and payments need to be made to the school office.

Our meals are provided by the award winning Leicestershire School Meals Support Service. 

If you choose to send your child with a packed lunch we would ask you to please send a healthy lunch and no sweets or fizzy drinks are to be included. Please see the link below to see what should be included in a healthy packed lunch. We are working towards our Food for Life Partnership Silver award and we have an active food action group with pupils, senior leaders, food catering staff, governors and community volunteers. The children have redesigned our menus. We are developing our dining environment and as always promoting healthy packed lunches.

We have been inviting family members  in to school to share a hot meal with their child with our 'Come for Lunch' events. These have been an amazing success and will be repeated each academic year.
